Delight in the Gulf

Seven girls at the beach, loving Jesus with their cameras in hand. If you had told me a few years ago, that some of my best friends would be “online friends”, I might have called you crazy. Yet here I am, with so many friends I’ve grown to love through Delight, and girls that are like sisters to me. Delight is a group of young ladies who strive to glorify God with their talents. We encourage each other, lift up prayer requests, and sometimes…get to meet in “real life”! 🙂 Last week I was blessed with time spent with six “Delight girls” in Florida! We took photos on the beach, shared stories over dinner & frozen yogurt, and talked about our hopes & dreams early in the morning. So much joy in that short time we had together, and so many memories made. I’m so delighted to share today some photos from our mini retreat!

Kristi is basically one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet! She wants to show people how loved they are, and how much God loves them! Her creativity is so inspiring, and her photos are amazing!!! Kristi is beautiful inside & out, and it was so special to finally be able to “really” talk with her!

Moriah is amazing. Seriously. Ever since I emailed her over a year ago, after finding her on Instagram, we have been friends, and now Moriah is like a big sister to me. She is always encouraging me to be a better photographer & to love more. It was such a gift to finally be able to meet her after only talking to each on social media for so long!

Sweet Anna has been there for me & all my photography questions for about two years now! She is so wise, and always there to pray for me! Anna is talented in so many ways, and always gives glory to God. It was so amazing to actually see her in-person, and to hear about her hopes & dreams!

She’s also Queen of the Flower Crowns. 😉

Beautiful Grace. Her joy shines with her laugh, and she is so elegant. She is brave & gorgeous, an amazing photographer, and reflects the love of Jesus! Grace has such a sweet spirit and is a joy to be around! I had such a great time getting to know her last week!

Makaela is ever so lovely. She is so strong and kind! She is a fabulous photographer, and so creative! Makaela is a beautiful example of someone who trusts God and desires to know Him more! I’m so glad I was able to meet her!!

Taylor is one of those people who makes you smile whenever they’re around. She is so sweet and her wisdom is beyond her years. She is so beautiful & such a talented photographer! I was so excited to finally meet Taylor & get to know her even more! 🙂

So, yes. These were some of the greatest moments of my year so far, and this was definitely the best spring break EVER!!! I am so thankful for Delight and how I have grown to love Community > Competition while praising Jesus together!

Blessings, Moriah

The Tau Conference 2015

This past weekend, many churches’ youth groups in and around Thomasville came together to worship and grow in a deeper relationship with God at the Tau Conference. Three days where hearts are opened, lives changed, and teenagers grow to love pursuing God. This year’s the theme was “Undefeated”.

20 “Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 5:20-21

We focused on grace, and how, as Christians, it should be the theme of our life’s story. So others can look at our life and know God has shown us grace by the way we extend it. We grew to desire the crazy love for Jesus that doesn’t care what others think. We saw that each morning that we wake up is another opportunity to extend God’s grace & love. Everyday the cross stares us in the face. We have been given grace; something we most certainly didn’t deserve.

This weekend was truly amazing, and to everyone who made it possible, thank you. You have helped make a lasting impact in the lives of students that may change the world.

Another thing special about this year’s Tau Conference, was having both Derek Minor and Chris August come and worship with us. Their stories encouraged us, and their music led us to a deeper love for God. We were so blessed this weekend, and I know it will have a permanent impact on so many lives. I ask, that you will pray for each student as they go out into their schools, homes, teams; that they will stand firm in their faith and continue to pursue a constant, love relationship with God. <3

Thomas made me an older sister 11 years ago, and he’s growing up so fast! Like any siblings, we have had our share of arguments, but also have moments that I wish would last forever. Thomas shares my love for photography, and gets so excited when I let him use my camera.  Thomas loves God, and cares for people around him! Thomas, I know God is going to use you in amazing ways!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Here are some football photos from the other day. Enjoy! (:

Happy Friday!

Whatever You Do…

One of my absolute favorite Bible verses is Colossians 3:23.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, and not for men.” Colossians 3:23
I read this and I’m reminded that my life is God’s. Every breath should be praising Him!
Whether it’s finishing homework, rocking your child to sleep, or running a marathon, God is calling you to give Him glory.
When we think about His Love, how He brings us out of the deep prison of sin and into the Light, we can’t help but long to praise Him!
It’s not always easy. Sometimes we may be grudgingly finishing the day’s housework, or have to drive to work or school on a rainy day. But even on “those” days, He is with us. We must ask Him to give us eyes to see Him in the everyday, when things aren’t necessarily going our way. He’s there, and when we meet with Him, we see how good He is!
Meet with Him today! Let God show you Himself in the ordinary, and bring Him glory!
